Those are so pretty! I might have to try them. They are a totally different technique than the tissue ones. I used Martha's instructions from here: http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/article/pom-poms-and-luminarias
I used leftover tissue, using one sheet for each pom pom - cut into eight sections, rather than eight full sheets like Martha's big ones.
I bet you could find lanterns like that in Chinatown.
Wow, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI was looking up tutorials for fabric poms earlier today -- I'd like to try it sometime.
ooh. I've never made them with fabric. Is it basically the same technique as with tissue paper? sounds lovely!
ReplyDeleteQuite lovely!:0)
ReplyDeleteI found this tutorial: http://www.oncewed.com/24140/wedding-blog/diy-wedding/diy-fabric-poms/
ReplyDeleteI would probably use thread and I would find something else for the centre -- not even sure where one can buy those paper laterns?
I actually don't know how to make the tissue paper ones but there was a Martha Stewart kit at Michaels that was $30!
