The Crack

The Crack was by far the most challenging and impressive trail we hiked at Killarney. It leads through forest, rocky landscapes and up and through a massive crack in the quartzite ridge. At the end is a spectacular almost 360 degree view. The rocks were unreal - so pale and almost waxy - glowing in the bright sunlight.

(The photos in my previous post that Andrew took are from the Crack too.)

West view from the top

  1. The rock is amazing - I've never seen anything like it! So milky.

  2. what beautiful pale colours on the rocks. very dramatic name for a hike as well, I like it!
