trial run

The one project I really have my heart set on for our wedding next June, is to do our flowers myself. Few things bring me as much pleasure and shear joy as flowers, and to have an excuse to fully indulge this love (within budgetary limits, of course) is so thrilling. I recently paid a visit to the Toronto's little flower district to get a sense of roughly what would be in season around the time of our wedding next year. I brought home a few bunches of beautiful things (like these unbelievable enormous peach peonies), foraged in my backyard for some extra bits (mostly vines and ferns), and did some playing around to see if I could make my vision come to life. I adore the results, and I can't wait to do the real deal next year!
